A lithograph shows a young boy in a double-breasted jacket, bow tie and tall fireman's hat inscribed "Young America Chief Engineer," leaning one hand on a fire hydrant beside an old hand pump engine. The print is titled The Little Fireman, issued by Currier & Ives and dated 1857.
