About this work
This printed plate from Études & Idées de Décoration by Claudius Denis shows a decorative textile design for a theatre foyer titled La Féerie. The upper panel depicts a woman in a green gown within a curved frame with a pale landscape, while the lower section repeats a dense pattern of red poppies, green stems and pale blossoms.
