About this work
A pen and brown ink drawing shows a winged figure holding a mirror and a globe-like armillary sphere, perched atop a gabled building with two turrets and flags. A man in period dress with a staff walks past the structure, which has an arched doorway and carved roundels, while Latin verses appear on the page. The work is catalogued as an anonymous French drawing from c. 1512/1515 in the National Gallery of Art.
