About this work

A pen and ink drawing with brown wash shows a group of figures crowded around a central man in a hooded garment with pointed ears, one figure kneeling and another reaching toward him. Faint ruled guidelines and a scroll-like shape along the bottom edge frame the composition. The work is catalogued as an anonymous French drawing from the early 16th century, dated c. 1512/1515.
