A charcoal and white chalk drawing on toned paper shows an older man in strict profile facing right, with his hair drawn back into a queue and a white cravat tied at his neck. The sitter wears a dark coat with a high collar, set within an oval vignette. This is an anonymous American 19th-century drawing after Charles B. J. Févret de Saint-Mémin, held by the National Gallery of Art.
