About this work

A seated woman draws at a table within an oval medallion while two children work beside her, one holding a spool and the other winding yarn. The oval is set in a garland of ivy, blue morning glories, and honeysuckle tied with pink and grey ribbons on a pale ground. The print is attributed to an anonymous French artist of the 18th century and dated to the early 1780s.
