About this work
A hand-colored engraved print shows the facade of the Royal Olympic Theatre with a red and yellow signboard, pink upper storey with four windows, and green columns framing entrances marked gallery, box and pit. A pink placard reads Harlequin Jack the Giant Killer, and the lower text credits London publication by B. Pollock at 73 Hoxton Street. Benjamin Pollock, dated 1870 to 1890, produced it as Scene 7 of this toy theatre series.
