A wide mountainous landscape rendered in muted greens, blues and browns, with a hilltop village and church tower on the right slope and a misty river valley receding to the left. In the foreground lower left, a small group of figures in red and dark clothing rests beside a pack animal on a rocky path. Painted by Jan Tilens in 1610 and held by the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the work is titled Mountainous landscape.
