About this work

A Renaissance-style landscape shows a domed classical ruin on the left where women bathe beside a pool, while other women in flowing robes and cherubs move across a grassy path. A tall obelisk and a small circular temple stand in the distance beside the water, where boats are visible. Lambert Sustris painted this work in 1552, and it is held by the Kunsthistorisches Museum.
