A seated woman in a dark dress with a lace veil and lace-trimmed shoulder collar wears a multi-strand pearl necklace and bracelets, her arms crossed in front of her. A red patterned shawl drapes over a stone ledge beside her, with ivy leaves behind and a distant sea horizon with sailboats at left. This portrait of ES Zhadimerovskaya was painted by Johann Conrad Dorner in 1846 and is held by the Hermitage Museum.
