A pastoral forest scene shows two shepherds with a flock of sheep and cattle, while a naked infant lies on a white cloth beside a dog. A classical relief and a sculpted putto stand at right, with a red and gold drape hanging nearby. This painting by Antonio Maria Vassallo, dated 1640, is held in the Hermitage Museum.
