A flowing dark cloak falls over the saddle, and a green-plumed bicorne hat crowns his head, while a city skyline and a distant encampment of soldiers appear on the horizon. This equestrian portrait by Johann Peter Krafft, dated 1832, is held in the Hermitage Museum.
