This painting shows the Moulin de la Galette, a windmill with a wooden upper story and sails, set on a snow-covered street in Montmartre. Bare trees, a poster reading Bal du Moulin de la Galette, and several pedestrians in period dress fill the scene, with a pale domed church visible at left. The work is attributed to Maurice Utrillo and dated 1945.
