About this work
A drawing on a gold-bordered support shows two nude young men playing curved horns against a red hatched background. The figure on the right is seen from behind, leaning forward, while the figure on the left blows into the instrument. A small decorative study with ornamental framing and a medallion sits at lower left, signed Berteaux. The work is attributed to Hippolyte Dominique Berteaux.
