This sketch depicts the Holy Family resting in a wooded landscape, with Saint Joseph in an ochre robe holding the infant Christ while the Virgin Mary in blue sits beside them. Winged angels in green, pink and cream surround the group, and a stone altar appears in the foreground. The work is signed and dated by Felix Henri Giacomotti in 1880.
