This pointillist painting shows a sweeping view over the rooftops of Paris, with rows of yellow chimney pots and tall brick chimney stacks in the foreground. Small figures stand on the roofs at right, and church domes and spires rise faintly through the hazy yellow and lavender sky. The work is signed and dated by Gustave Cariot in 1899.
