About this work
This hand-colored print shows a broad, misty waterfall cascading between rugged rock formations, with small figures standing on the ledges and a fallen tree in the foreground. The inscription beneath the view identifies it as the falls at Hof-Foss in the province of Ringerike, dedicated to the King of Denmark and dated Copenhagen 1789 by Erik Pauelsen.
