About this work

A grey, hazy scene shows a flat-bottomed boat with a dark wooden hull and a raised plank rim, seen from above at an angle. Two figures stand or sit near the stern on a wooden platform, while a dark bundle lies inside the boat, and a rope trails across the foreground.
