About this work
This ink and wash drawing shows a brick manor house with a stepped gable and tiled roof, set beside a moat and reflected in the water. A wooden footbridge crosses the water at the right, framed by trees. The work is titled Veenhuis and is attributed to Abraham de Haen, with the inscription dated 1730.
