About this work
This watercolor and pencil drawing shows a stone arched bridge spanning a river, with a fortified tower and walls on the right and a bell tower on the left. Snow-dusted mountains rise behind the bridge, and a town is glimpsed through the central arch. The work is attributed to Peter Burnitz and dated 1850.
