A pencil and wash drawing shows a rider on a rearing white horse at the entrance of a timber-framed smithy, where a bearded man and a boy stand beside the doorway. A dog and a bird rest in the foreground, and a distant village with church towers lies beyond the trees, all enclosed in an oval framed by ornamental scrollwork. The German verse inscribed on the lower scroll is part of the composition. The work is attributed to Anton Burger and is held by Wikimedia Commons.
