About this work
A graphite pencil drawing shows a nude female figure seated on a cloud-like mass, her right arm raised high and her left leg bent with the foot resting on the cloud. Faint construction lines around the cloud and figure suggest preparatory sketching. The title, attributed to Victor Müller, identifies the subject as a frontal seated female nude, possibly Hebe.
