About this work

A graphite drawing on grey-toned paper shows a nude bearded male figure in a striding pose, turned to the left and raising a staff in one hand while the other hand touches his head. The study records musculature, anatomy and posture with fine hatched shading, and the handwritten word Paris appears in the lower left corner.
