A dirt road runs beneath a broad, leaning tree whose branches arch over the path toward a stretch of still water on the left. Tall grasses line the track, and a dark band of distant trees rests along the far shore under a pale, partly cloudy sky. The painting is titled The road to the bathing houses at Nysø, by P.C.
