About this work

A black-ground stage design drawing in white chalk and coloured crayon, showing a row of stylised profile faces with large staring eyes across the lower band, a winged creature crouched at the lower right, and a branching white lightning-like form above. Measurement arrows and a dimension figure of 12.5 mark the layout. This is Oskar Schlemmer's 1930 design for the first picture of Die glückliche Hand.
