About this work

Two hummingbirds appear in a dramatic landscape: one hovers in flight with spread wings and a bright red tail, while the other perches on a bare branch. A rocky cliff and dark forest fill the lower left, under a sky shifting from blue to warm orange near the horizon, with hanging moss on the branches.
