About this work
This etching shows a pastoral hilly landscape with a seated woman and a recumbent figure beside grazing cattle in the foreground. On the right, a farmer guides a plow pulled by oxen beneath a large tree, while birds fly across the sky. The print is attributed in its inscriptions to Johannes Visscher after an invention by Nicolaes Pietersz Berchem, published by Nicolaus Visscher.
