About this work

An etched pastoral landscape shows a seated woman in the foreground beside cattle grazing on a rise, while a farmer guides a team of oxen pulling a plough through a field to the right. Tall trees and rolling hills fill the background beneath a cloudy sky. The print is attributed to Nicolaes Pietersz Berchem as inventor and Johannes Visscher as etcher, published by Reinier and Josua Ottens.
