About this work
A sepia-toned mezzotint-style print shows a seated woman in a flowing gown and a young girl holding a garland of flowers, set beneath a large tree within an oval frame. The title lettering beneath identifies the subjects as Lady Rushout and Daughter, after an original picture in the collection of George Bowyer. The print is dated July 1781 and was published in London by W. Dickinson.
