About this work

A color comic illustration from 1906 shows an older man with round spectacles hanging upside down from a tree branch by his knees, speaking to a group of uniformed boys in caps and red neckties. Speech bubbles read "Hello, boys, did you ever see such a d-n old fool?" and "We never did, Grand Pa." A hat lies on the grass in the lower right. The work is credited to L. M. Glackens and dated 1906.
