This etching by Gustave Moreau, titled The Goddess Discord, dated 1886, shows a winged female figure reclining with her head resting on her arm beside a classical column. Carved letters reading HYMEN appear on the entablature above, and winged putti flank the scene while a sleeping figure lies at the lower right among scattered flowers. A large tree and a distant rocky landscape with two embracing figures complete the composition.
