About this work
A lithograph of Loch Lomond seen from the cavern of Rob Roy, showing a broad lake under a dramatic cloudy sky, with mountains rising on both shores. A seated figure, a goat, and small sailboats and a rowing boat animate the rocky foreground and water. The print is credited to Richard Parkes Bonington after drawings by F. A. Pernot, dated 1826.
