About this work
A lithograph showing a ruined castle tower rising above dense woodland, viewed across a body of water. Two small figures stand and sit on a rocky outcrop in the foreground beside tall, bare trunks, under a broad cloudy sky. The print is titled Chateau de Bothwell, after drawings by F.A. Pernot and lithographed by Bonington, and dates from 1826.
