About this work
A mezzotint-style print in sepia tones shows a kneeling woman with loose hair and pearls, bound by a chain, beside a seated bearded man who rests his head in his hands. A reclining armored figure lies on a couch behind them, while grotesque faces emerge from the shadows at the left. The print is titled Belisane and Parcival under the Enchantment of Urma, by Henry Fuseli, dated 1782.
