About this work
A sepia-toned etching shows a riverbank scene with figures at the water's edge, a cart with a man standing on it, and a sailing boat on the right under a broad, cloudy sky. The title plate reads Kingston Bank, drawn by J.M.W. Turner and etched and engraved by Frank Short in 1896 from an unpublished drawing.
