About this work

This painting shows a wooded glade where nude satyr-like figures and dancing nymphs move through wildflowers and foliage, while a young man in a white shirt and red sash watches from the foreground. The loose, sketch-like brushwork and warm earthy palette give the scene a dreamlike, mythological atmosphere.
