About this work
This circular etching shows a group of peasant figures gathered in a rustic interior around a slaughtered animal on the ground, with one man kneeling and another holding a long pole or implement. A standing figure in a tall hat watches at left, while children and a woman observe from the background beside a wooden bench and a pot.
