About this work

A faint preliminary pencil drawing on an ochre-toned sheet shows a central female figure with flowing hair, flanked by profile heads and a group of seated figures in a composition framed by a decorative border. The lines are loose and partially erased, with a white mark disrupting the lower centre of the sheet. This study by Eliseu Visconti is dated 1903 and relates to the Portuguese postcard titled A Comunhão Republicana.
