About this work

A painted mountain landscape shows a rushing river flowing between steep, vegetation-covered rock walls toward a distant peak. A small hermit figure in a red-brown robe sits near a wooden trellis and a stone staircase on the right, beside a bucket, while a small building sits on a hillside under a partly cloudy sky.
