About this work

A graphite drawing on paper shows a standing male nude seen in three-quarter profile, one hand resting on the hip and the other raised in gesture. The figure's musculature and limbs are rendered with fine tonal shading, and a signature with the date 1896 and the place Paris appears in the lower right corner.
