About this work
A nude woman stands barefoot on a wooden floor with her back partly turned, one arm raised to her head, in a studio whose walls are covered with framed figure studies and plaster casts. The warm light falls across her body, contrasting with the muted olive and brown tones of the room. The work is titled "O modelo" and was painted by Eliseu Visconti in 1895.
