About this work
Two vase designs are shown side by side, each filled with a painted botanical study: a yellow iris with spear-shaped leaves on the left and a dandelion with toothed leaves on the right. The outlines of the vases are drawn in pencil or ink while the flowers are rendered in watercolor. This original drawing for Fyns Glasværk by H. A. Brendekilde is dated 1901.
