About this work
An oil painting titled Resting by the Seaside by Rudolf Jelinek shows a reclining nude woman with a red headscarf resting on a white cloth beside the sea. A second woman with blonde hair, wearing a pale blue dress, sits against a rocky outcrop playing a stringed instrument. The scene is set on a grassy coastal slope under a sky of cumulus clouds.
