An oil painting of several large naval warships and smaller steamers at anchor in a calm bay, with a rowing boat on the water and rocks along the shore. A group of seated figures in red fezzes watches the fleet from a grassy bank at lower right. The work is titled An English Squadron in the Sea of Marmara and is attributed to Ludwig Rubelli von Sturmfest; the inscription on the canvas also gives the year 1878.
