About this work
A painted river landscape shows a group of women in red and dark dresses standing at the water's edge beside a moored boat with a tall mast. Heavy, luminous clouds fill the sky above a wide, quiet river, with a distant town and church towers on the far bank. The work is titled "На Волге" and is attributed to Alexei Savrasov.
