About this work

This black and white woodcut print shows a stylized, angular figure cradled within a large curved form, with sharp radiating lines and a dark circular disc set against a white ground. A crown-like shape and a spiral motif appear at the top, and the bold carved contrasts give the composition a dramatic, graphic quality.
