A pencil sketch shows a cluster of wooden buildings, including a large main house with a steep roof and a tall smokestack, set on open ground beside palm trees. Smaller outbuildings and a low shoreline with a distant boat extend across the right side of the sheet. The handwritten inscription 'Mayport Mills, Florida' appears beneath the scene, and the work is attributed to Alfred Waud and dated 1860.
