A pencil sketch by Alfred Waud, dated 1865, shows a mounted officer in a wide-brimmed hat and buttoned coat riding past a two-story building with a porch and steps. Another rider, soldiers and bare trees appear in the scene, and the handwritten label "Lee" is inscribed at lower left.
