About this work
A pencil sketch shows the paddle steamer Belvidere in side view, with twin masts, rigging, a smokestack, a large paddle wheel, and a flag on the stern. Below the drawing are the printed title and a handwritten note referring to an engraving of the Susquehanna in Harper's Weekly. The work is attributed to Alfred Waud and dated 1860.
