About this work
A loosely rendered seated female nude appears in a soft, muted interior, with her legs crossed and her head tilted downward. Charcoal-like contour lines and blurred washes of ochre, grey and cream define the figure and the surrounding armchair and room. The work is titled Mireille, by Jules Pascin, dated 1930.
